EXPLANATION OF THE ACTIVITIES WITH STUDENTS

This activity was applied to a 10th grade of multimedia course. This class is composed by 25 students aged between 15 and 18 years old. However, only 22 students participated.

In this activity, students were challenged to think about themselves and reflect on their future 10 years from now.

In the first step of the task, the students had to identify three professions that they are considering in the future. Most of them were confident in this part and identified professions associated with their current field of study.

The second part of the task required more reflection because the adolescents had to select only one of the three professions. Despite the complexity, they successfully accomplished this aspect.

The last component of the task proved to be the most complex for our
students. Due to their age, emotional immaturity, and premature life projects, they show difficulty at identifying the "perfect job", functions and goals.

This activity was rich in moments of reflection. The students were required to analyse their interests, skills, and think about their professional future. After the activity, their life projects were explored in the large group.

REPORT ABOUT STUDENT’S FEEDBACKS

According to the participants, this was a great experience in the sense that it allowed them to consciously reflect on themselves and their possible future. Also, the analysis of various professions confronted them with the need to develop new skills, adapted to the labour market that they aspire.
