EXPLANATION OF THE ACTIVITIES WITH STUDENTS

​

This activity, “Job Orientation” aimed to disrupt participants’ perceptions of different jobs and challenge their preconceived ideas about them. To achieve this, students were provided with five job cards and answered questions related to each job.

 

The activity was done at school by 13 students individually. To implement the activity, students needed to write down their perceptions of a job in terms various factors, such as who the job is for, what the job entails, the necessary knowledge and skills, the tools involved and the type of work involved.

 

They were also needed to estimate the number of hours per day required for the job and the academic path required to enter the field.

 

Finally, students compared their answers with those of others,
identifying similarities and differences in their perceptions of different jobs.

REPORT ABOUT STUDENT’S FEEDBACKS

​

​According to the students’ feedback, the activity “Job Orientation”, seemed quite
helpful for the students, since in the end, it helped them saw it as a different
approach with the aim of clarifying but also the knowledge of some professionals.
They gained the awareness about some different jobs.
